The Glow Yin Yoga Yoga TTC:s are presented in 2 teaching blocks. The first part is a 12 days residential course and second part is online. Your training is finished when you have finished the online part and you can apply for Yoga alliance membership.
At Glow Yin Yoga we give our students the opportunity to complete their training up to 1 year after the first part to make this training accessible for everyone regardless of situation or previous practice of Yoga. Contact us for all details on how to do your amazing Yoga Teacher Training with us!
Residential part of the Yoga Teacher Training
In our summer Yoga TTC:s you stay at our lovely Swedish Venue in Västergötland, all the 12 days and attend to the Yoga program. Situated in the midst of nature this location gives a good opportunity to immerse in a Yogic life and Yogic knowledge. See more about the venue under the page Accomodation. After this practical part you complete the 100 hours online part for gaining your certificate of a certified Yoga Teacher.
Online part of the Yoga Teacher Training
The online section is accessed by you from the date you sign up for the course and you start to immerse in Yogic knowledge and science. It covers 100 Hrs of the total 200 Hrs training. Course material and manual as well as online classes are given by the Yoga school. Students who have less time for travels can benefit from this type of training. We recommend all students to start their onlinepart at least 2 weeks before the residential part to give the time for deeper understanding of Yoga, but if you can only do it after the training this will also be approved. The Manual for the Training is given to you right after complete payement of your course. When all the parts are finished you will recieve your certificate eligible for applying for Yoga Alliance membership. At our amazing venue in Sweden you will find the peace and time to give your yogic journey a 100 % focus and lasting support after the training from us as a Yoga School.

✧ The Art of Asana: More Than a Posture
1. The Living Geometry of the Body
In the modern world, we often view Asana (postures) as a physical workout. In the Yogic tradition, we return to its original intent: Sthira Sukham Asanam—finding the perfect balance between effortless stability and graceful ease. An Asana is not a destination to reach; it is a conversation between your breath and your nervous system. You will learn how to do many Asanas in our Yoga Teacher Training, their benefits and effects and how to instruct, observe and adjust students. This is worked on in the subject Alignment and in Asana classes.
2. The Bridge Between Physical & Subtle
While the physical body stretches and strengthens, the real work happens beneath the surface:

The Breath (Prana): Using the posture to expand your life force.

The Mind: Developing a “witness consciousness” while holding challenging shapes.
-
The Nervous System: Shifting from Fight or Flight into a state of Rest and Restore.
3. Our Dual Approach
On our retreats, we explore the two poles of Asana practice through different flows and through Surya Namaskar (sun salutation and Chandra Namaskar (Moon salutation).

Solar (Hatha): Cultivating heat, alignment, and structural integrity to wake up the spirit.

Lunar (Yin): Surrendering to gravity, targeting the deep connective tissues (fascia), and creating space for emotional release.
4. Asana as Shadow Work
When we hold a posture in stillness, “stuff” comes up. Frustration, boredom, or old memories often hide in the hips and shoulders. Through Asana, we don’t just “stretch” the muscle—we move the stagnant energy, allowing the “Glow” of your true nature to shine through the cracks.

Pranayama: The Breath of Life
1. Beyond Breathing
In Sanskrit, Prana is our vital life force, and Ayama means to extend or draw out. Pranayama is the ancient science of using the breath to master the mind. While we breathe automatically, Pranayama allows us to breathe consciously—turning a simple biological function into a profound spiritual tool.
2. Tuning the Nervous System
The breath is the only “remote control” we have for our autonomic nervous system. Through specific techniques taught on our Sweden retreats, we learn to:

Down-regulate: Switching off the “High Alert” stress response.

Vitalize: Clearing stagnant energy and mental fog.

Balance: Harmonizing the left and right hemispheres of the brain for total clarity.
3. The Gateway to Shadow Work
Breath is the bridge between the conscious and the subconscious. When we change the rhythm of our breathing, we access deeper layers of our psyche. In our 12-Day Deep Immersion, we use Pranayama and Somatic Breathwork to gently “thaw” emotional blockages stored in the body, allowing for a natural, glowing release.

✧ Yogic Anatomy: The Architecture of the Soul
In the Glow tradition, we do not just work with muscles and bones. We work with the Five Layers of Being (Koshas) and the River of Life Force (Prana) that flows through them. Understanding Yogic Anatomy allows you to navigate your internal landscape with precision and grace.
1. The Five Koshas (The Layers of Existence)
The human experience is like an onion, composed of five sheaths that house our true essence:

Annamaya Kosha (The Physical Body): Our “food sheath.” The bones, muscles, and organs we move through Asana.

Pranamaya Kosha (The Energy Body): The layer of breath and life force (Prana).
-
Manomaya Kosha (The Mental Body): The home of our emotions, thoughts, and sensory processing.
-
Vijnanamaya Kosha (The Wisdom Body): The seat of our Higher Intelligence and intuition.

Anandamaya Kosha (The Bliss Body): The deepest core of peace and connection to the divine.
2. Prana & The Chakras (The Subtle Engine)
Flowing through these layers is Prana—the vital energy that fuels every heartbeat and thought. This energy travels through thousands of subtle channels (Nadis) and centers at the Seven Chakras:

From the Root (Muladhara) to the Crown (Sahasrara), these energy vortexes govern our psychological and physical health. When Prana flows freely through the Chakras, we experience the “Glow” of total vitality.
3. The Trinity: Body, Mind & Intelligence
True Yoga is the harmonization of these three distinct powers:

The Physical Body: Our temple and the vehicle for our practice.

The Mind (Manas): The recorder of experiences, which can often become clouded by stress or “Shadows.”

The Intelligence (Buddhi): Our capacity for discernment and truth. Through our 2026 programs, we sharpen the Intelligence so it can guide the Mind, rather than being ruled by it.
